Job Details As an Accounting Clerk, you will assist with journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliations, and process accounts payable and receivable. You'll also perform key clerical and administrative functions to keep things running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with vendor maintenance, including reviewing payment addresses, federal ID numbers, and certificates of insurance.
Complete credit applications and new customer forms.
Code and categorize accounts payable invoices, process payments, and ensure accuracy.
Perform data entry, ensuring financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
Prepare schedules to support the preparation of annual income tax returns.
Analyze general ledger accounts and prepare account reconciliations.
Take on additional duties as assigned by the Controller.
Ideal Candidate:
A proactive and detail-oriented individual with strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel and Word at an advanced level.
Someone who is eager to learn and can handle changing priorities, new challenges, and multiple tasks simultaneously.
Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
Experience with accounting software is a plus; experience with P2 Energy/Bolo accounting software is highly desirable.
Familiarity with Form 1099 procedures is a plus.
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
