Description

Seeking a part-time APRN or PA to support inpatient neurology consult service at UH Tripoint. Prior APP and/or neurology experienced preferred but will consider new graduates. Schedule is 8 hr. days, rotating weekends and holidays. The APP will assist with new telehealth visits to consulting neurologists and provide subsequent care to established consult patients.

  • Performs patient assessment and assigns diagnosis based on recorded assessment data and current scientific and current research.

  • Establishes plan of care and implements interventions in accordance with care paths, protocols, and standards of care and current research.
  • \n
  • Collaborates w/other health care providers in an interdisciplinary approach to provide care to the patient and family.
  • \n
  • Order and perform routine diagnostic procedures
  • \n
  • Develop and implement treatment plans
  • \n
  • Monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions
  • \n
  • Contributes to the educational development of staff, patients, family and self.
  • \n
  • Demonstrates progressive leadership and effective management.

  • Provides education through role modeling and in-services to meet identified learning needs and to promote professionalism.

Qualifications

Position Requirements: \nDemonstrated competence as a practitioner \nEffective oral and written communication skills\nA variety of technical patient care devices specific to the clinical area \nComputers and selected office equipment\n\n Experience and Knowledge: \nDemonstrated leadership skills\nDemonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships\n\n Education/Expertise: \nNurse Practitioner: \nNursing Doctorate or Master of Science in Nursing with emphasis on clinical practice.\n-or-\nPhysician Assistant: \nCompletion of a formal Physician Assistant training from an accredited program with NCCPA certification. \n\n Required Credentials, Licensure or Certification (i.e. RN, RRT): \nNurse Practitioner: \nBLS required; ACLS preferred \nCurrent Registered Nurse license to practice in Ohio.\nCurrent APRN license to practice in Ohio. \n-or-\nPhysician Assistant: \nBLS required; ACLS preferred\nNCCPA-Certified.\nDEA license\n
