Assistant General Manager – High-Volume Coastal Restaurant – South Coast, MA

Assistant General Manager Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Assistant General Manager in a high-volume ($5M+ annual sales) upscale casual or fine dining restaurant
  • Proven ability to lead and develop staff in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, financial performance, and service standards
  • Current ServSafe and Allergen Certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
Must Haves:
  • Experience managing restaurants with $5 million or more in annual revenue
  • Collaborate closely with the General Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations
  • Partner with ownership to drive financial and operational goals
  • Ensure outstanding guest experiences, proactively addressing and resolving service issues
  • Train, coach, and develop team members to foster a positive and high-performing work culture
Assistant General Manager Preferred Background & Skills:
  • Experience working in a waterfront or seasonal restaurant environment
  • Familiarity with innovative and diverse menus, including sushi and seasonal cuisine
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to inspire and engage staff
  • Ability to adapt quickly, solve problems under pressure, and maintain a positive leadership presence
