Schedule: Mid Shift: Must be available for all these shifts: 8am-4:30pm; 10am-6:30pm; 2pm-10:30am

The role you'll contribute:

\n \n\n \n

Responsible for assisting technologists and taking radiologic imaging to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role provides patient care within the scope of practice and departmental standards. In addition, this position adheres to compliance plans and regulations of local, state, and federal agencies.

\n \n\n \n

• Assists in patient care duties within scope of practice, including transporting patient and using proper infection control techniques.
\n \n
• Assists technologists with preparing patients for radiology exams by positioning them for the procedure.
\n \n
• Assists technologists with maintaining accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.
\n \n
• Ability to follow basic radiation safety concepts of time, distance and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patient and staff.
\n \n
• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks. Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.
\n \n
• Provides support to technologists during radiology exams as needed.
\n \n
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, team members, and others of diverse backgrounds.
\n \n
• Adheres to all relevant regulations, standards, and policies.
\n \n
• Other duties as assigned.
\n \n
• Participates in ongoing training and professional development activities.
\n \n
• Educates patients about the exam and complete all exams in a timely manner, maintaining workflow and minimizing empty table time.
\n \n\n \n\n

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv Required
\n \n
• No Work Experience Required
\n \n
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Required
\n \n\n \n\n
