Now Hiring: Assistant Property Manager (Commercial Real Estate) | San Mateo/Redwood City, CA

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Property Manager to support and manage the operations, tenant relations, and financial performance of a portfolio of propertiesin San Mateo and Redwood City, CA . This role will work closely with the Property Manager to deliver first-class property management services and lead the day-to-day operations including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, customer service, property maintenance, financial reporting and oversight of service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and financial performance of the properties.
• Support a dedicated team , including property management support staff, engineers, and maintenance personnel .
• Foster a collaborative work environment that ensures operational efficiency and top-tier service to tenants.
• Support the Property Manager in developing and managing budgets, financial reports, and expense controls to maximize asset value.
• Bid, prepare and manage vendor contracts.
• Directly manage all building operations, and work with Property Manager to manage capital improvement projects.
• Ensure exceptional tenant relations by addressing concerns proactively and maintaining strong communication.
• Collaborate with ownership, leasing teams, and stakeholders to enhance property performance.
• Work on special projects as assigned by the Property Manager.

Qualifications:

• Commercial property management experience required , preferably in Class A office or mixed-use properties .
• Proven experience working effectively with a team , including property management staff and engineering personnel.
• Familiarity with commercial leases, budgeting, financial reporting, and building operations .
• Experience with property management software (Yardi, MRI, or similar).
• Excellent verbal and written communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
