Grassy Flats Resort & The Rhum House are seeking an exceptional Bartender to join our team.

We’re looking for a passionate individual with a talent for creating craft cocktails with precision and creativity. You should have the ability to consistently execute menu items by memory while also contributing to the growth of our established beverage program. A strong knowledge of liquor, wine, and beer is essential, and we encourage and compensate for continued education in these areas.

Our Bartenders must:

• Maintain a clean appearance, work clean, wear clean clothes, and keep our facilities clean.
• Be transparent in their actions—if you don’t know something, ask; if you do, share.
• Bring a positive attitude to every shift and contribute to a fun, welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional guest service with a can-do attitude and welcoming demeanor.
• Be attentive to the bar and guests' needs.
• Take guest orders and serve drinks accordingly.
• Mix and pour drinks according to The Rhum House recipes and at guest request, under the direction of the Bar Manager.
• Minimize waste while pouring and mixing drinks.
• Verify guest IDs to ensure legal drinking age.
• Use the Toast system to enter orders accurately and manage guest tabs.
• Prioritize food and drink safety in line with our policies and procedures.
• Have an intimate knowledge of The Rhum House’s drink menu, recipes, wine, and beer selections, as well as other well-known cocktails.
• Manage on-hand bar inventory in real-time.
• Oversee the tap system in real-time.
• Answer guest questions about The Rhum House’s drink, beer, and wine menu.
• Recognize when a guest should be cut off from drinking and refer to the Bar Manager or Owner as needed.
• Assist with bar upkeep and follow the cleaning schedule for the bar and front-of-house.
• Report to the Bar Manager or Lead for responsibilities, questions, and concerns.

Required Skills:

• Excellent guest service.
• Attention to bar operations and guest needs.
• Memorization of Barrel & Bale products.
• Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 20 pounds.
• Understanding and adherence to company policies.
• Identifying and contributing to cost-saving measures.
• Supporting and upholding the core values of the business.

• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Accuracy in measuring and pouring drinks.
• Clear and professional communication.
• Professional conduct.
• Teamwork with both the back-of-house (BOH) and front-of-house (FOH) teams.
