Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Business General Manager with a strong background in business management, including software management, accounting, A/P &A/R, budgeting, workflow processes, planning, trade partner management and problem solving. The Business General Manager will play an essential role in working closely with our Director of Field Operations in keeping our projects organized and moving forward. You will also assist in the delivery, storage and package pick up of material items at our warehouse.
This position is ideal for someone who is a problem solver and hard working. This person will also be comfortable with marketing and networking in the local community. Construction industry experience and an existing network of skilled labor trades is preferred. You must own your own vehicle as local travel is required and live within the area for local, on-site issues as they arise.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Management of entire business, overseeing daily operations and ensuring efficient use of resources.
· Creating and revising protocols and policies to maximize profitability.
· Analyze data and report adjustments as needed.
· Implement software for invoicing, labor tracking, service cost and daily operations.
· Develop labor force within the company to meet demands of existing projects.
· Assist in marketing current projects for acquisition.
· Assist with subcontractor onboarding including proper documentation.
· Assist in submitting documentation for completed projects such as warranties and lien waivers.
· Work closely with the field team to ensure materials are received, inspections have been ordered and utilities are scheduled within time frame.
· Problem solve project related issues quicky to avoid delays and addition cost.
· Properly schedules, receives, and stores materials held in our warehouse.
· Assist in sequencing field operations and staging of materials and resources.
· Communicate with the Director of Field Operations daily to discuss projects and any issues.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related management experience preferred.
· 5+ years of experience or coordination in management.
· Knowledge of construction industry preferred.
· Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook),
· Service management software including services, rates, invoicing and labor tracking.
· Dependable and able to provide own transportation for travel to job sites.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
