We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Business Manager/Customer Service professional to join our team. This is a generalist role for someone who enjoys both business operations and customer interaction. The right candidate will bring a mix of business management, customer service, and technical skills, along with the empathy to serve our unique customer base. Position Overview

The Business/Customer Service Manager will play a key role in supporting business operations and driving growth by delivering outstanding service to our customers. This position requires someone who is both results-oriented and empathetic, with strengths in accounting/bookkeeping, purchasing, inventory control, and customer relations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer or redirect incoming calls and emails in a professional and timely manner.
  • Provide responsive customer support via phone, email, and online platforms.
  • Prepare and process quotes, purchase orders, and invoices.
  • Maintain and update customer records in our CRM system (ACT! experience a plus).
  • Manage online sales through Shopify, including order processing, fulfillment, and customer follow-up.
  • Support purchasing of raw materials and components for production.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to help meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Provide technical assistance and post-sale support to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate financial records including banking, accounts payable/receivable, and preparation for CPA tax review.
  • Contribute to HR functions such as onboarding and supporting staff, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in business management, accounting/bookkeeping, inside sales, account management, or customer service (healthcare, education, or technology industry preferred).
  • Strong computer literacy with proficiency in online sales platforms such as Shopify.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as Act!
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex products clearly.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • HR experience strongly desired.
  • Experience with assistive technology or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
