About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Risk Officer to lead its Enterprise Risk Management program. The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with the executive team to ensure that the organization's risk tolerance and appetite are in line with its strategic objectives. This role involves monitoring the internal and external business environment to identify and analyze risk, as well as developing and maintaining a comprehensive risk management framework. The Chief Risk Officer will also be tasked with promoting a culture of compliance, overseeing risk and compliance training, and managing the organization's risk data governance model. Applicants for the Chief Risk Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a Master's degree preferred, and a minimum of 15 years' experience in credit risk management and loan portfolio analysis. Prior experience as a senior Compliance/Risk Officer with a financial institution exceeding $10B in assets is required. The role demands advanced knowledge of regulatory compliance and operational requirements, strong management skills, and the ability to work effectively with the Board of Directors. The ideal candidate will be adept at making strategic decisions, have a proven track record of success in risk management, and be able to effectively communicate and educate on risk management strategies.
