About the Role
The Company is seeking a Director of Risk, also known as a Chief Risk Officer, to lead and direct its Enterprise Risk Management program. The successful candidate will be responsible for anticipating, measuring, and mitigating all elements of contract and operational risk, with a focus on safeguarding the organization from financial and reputational threats. This role involves working closely with stakeholders across the organization, including the Executive team and Board of Directors, to ensure that strategic decision-making is informed by a comprehensive understanding of risk. The Director of Risk will also be instrumental in overseeing the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks that could impact the company's operations, reputation, and financial stability. The ideal candidate for this position at the company will have a CPA designation and a deep expertise in complex financial analysis, preferably in an international business context. They should be excellent communicators, capable of presenting complex concepts to diverse audiences, and adept at driving excellence in risk management and reporting. The role requires a proactive and strategic individual who is committed to continuous improvement and can introduce best practices within the organization. Proficiency in both official languages is considered an asset. The Director of Risk will play a crucial role in the company, and as such, a strong background in risk management and a proven track record of success in a similar capacity are essential.
