CNC Setup Machinist (Mills Only)
3, 4 & 5-Axis | Aerospace Manufacturing
2nd Shift | Temp-to-Hire | Riverside, CA
We are seeking a high-level CNC Setup Machinist with full setup capability and a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience on 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC mills. This is a 2nd shift, temp-to-hire opportunity in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.
This role is ideal for a skilled setup machinist who takes pride in precision, owns their setups from start to finish, and is ready to step into a shop where 5-axis machining is becoming the main platform.
What You Will Be Doing
Perform complete machine setups including tools, offsets, fixtures, and verification
Set up and operate 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC milling machines
Conduct first article and in-process inspections
Perform tool changes, offsets, and machining adjustments
Read and interpret blueprints, routers, setup sheets, and work instructions
Perform edge-breaking and deburring for safe handling
Maintain consistent quality, documentation, and engineering standards
Communicate all machining issues, discrepancies, and improvement ideas
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
Follow all company procedures, safety policies, and attendance requirements
Required Skills & Experience (Non-Negotiable)
Minimum 5 years of CNC setup experience
Must have full setup capability with all tools
Strong 4-axis and 5-axis CNC milling experience
Experience with Haas machines and Fanuc controls required
Aerospace manufacturing experience required
Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
Skilled with precision measuring instruments
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Must be comfortable working 2nd shift
