Position: Lead Superintendent – OSHPD 1 / Healthcare Construction

Location: Mammoth Lakes, CA (3 years of Full Housing Provided)

Compensation: $180,000 – $225,000 Base + Bonus + Premium Benefits

About the Company:

My client is a privately held $250M commercial General Contractor with a proven track record in complex, high-stakes healthcare construction across California. With over $150M in secured backlog in OSHPD 1 work, we are seeking a seasoned Lead Superintendent to oversee a large-scale ground-up healthcare facility in Mammoth Lakes, CA , with guaranteed work in Southern California, Sacramento, and the Bay Area to follow.

The Opportunity:

This is a career-defining role to take the lead on a multi-year, OSHPD 1 ground-up hospital project in one of the most scenic locations in California. The project will span 3+ years , and full housing, room, and board will be covered — including a private home, utilities, and amenities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the on-site lead for all field operations on a complex OSHPD 1 healthcare project.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, site logistics, quality control, and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with project management, architects, engineers, inspectors (including IOR and OSHPD field reps), and the client.
• Drive schedule adherence and manage day-to-day construction activities from start to finish.
• Maintain strict compliance with HCAI/OSHPD protocols, inspections, and documentation.
• Build a culture of accountability, safety, and productivity across all trades on site.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 3 years leading OSHPD 1/HCAI hospital projects.
• Proven track record delivering ground-up healthcare facilities.
• Ability to lead complex, multi-phase builds in remote or logistically sensitive environments.
• Strong understanding of field inspection processes, IOR coordination, and DSA/OSHPD documentation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and scheduling skills (Primavera or similar a plus).

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Salary: $180,000 – $225,000 DOE
• Bonus: Performance-based annual bonus
• Housing: Private home provided in Mammoth Lakes (fully paid)
• Benefits: 90% employer-paid medical for employee, 50% for dependents
• Per Diem: Covered meals and living expenses during project duration
• Long-term pipeline of healthcare and commercial work in SoCal, NorCal, and the Bay Area following project completion
