Job Description

The Social Agency is a New York–based social-first creative agency helping luxury and premium e-commerce brands build aspirational, high-performing social media presences. We manage content creation and social strategy end-to-end — from ideation and production to delivery — for clients in the fashion, beauty, and lifestyle space. Our studio is located in Midtown Manhattan.

We’re looking for a Creative Lead to join our growing team. This role blends social media, creative direction, production planning, and on-set leadership. Perfect for someone who thrives in both creative and organizational settings. You’ll work directly under our Founder & Creative Director and collaborate closely with our social media managers.

What you'll be doing:

Creative Strategy & Planning:

  • Lead monthly creative planning for client content: brainstorming, developing, and refining iphone captured short-form video and photo concepts that align with each brand’s voice, goals, and visual identity. Stay on top of cultural and social trends to bring fresh, relevant ideas to each shoot. Source and scout unique shoot locations that align with client aesthetics and campaign needs.

Shoot Coordination:

  • Collaborate with account managers to determine shoot priorities and prepare detailed shoot briefs with creative references. Coordinate models, locations, wardrobe, and logistics for each shoot to ensure seamless production days.

On-Set Leadership:

  • Oversee shoot execution across clients: directing talent, managing the shoot flow, and ensuring every concept is captured efficiently and creatively. You will guide the team on-set to maintain momentum and quality throughout the day.

Content Creation:

  • Participate in shoots daily — both behind and in very often in front of the camera — filming, capturing, and modeling content for our fashion, beauty, and lifestyle clients.

Video Editing:

  • Edit short-form videos for social media platforms (Reels, TikTok, etc.), applying a sharp eye for pacing, audio, and storytelling that reflects each brand’s visual identity.

Cross-Team Collaboration:

  • Work directly with our Founder and alongside social media managers to ensure creative excellence and consistency across all accounts. Provide direction and feedback on how content translates from concept to final edit.

Client Collaboration:

  • Join monthly creative calls with clients alongside account managers to discuss performance insights, review upcoming campaigns, and align on content direction for the next month.

Who you are:

  • 2+ years of experience in a creative, production, or content role at an agency (required).
  • Strong understanding of social-first creative across Instagram, TikTok, and Reels. Perhaps with your own online presence on these platforms.
  • Highly organized and confident managing multiple projects and deadlines at once.
  • Extremely comfortable on camera — modeling women’s fashion, beauty, or lifestyle content multiple times per week and often in public.
  • Deep understanding of fashion, beauty, and lifestyle aesthetics and what performs online.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and excited to work in a fast-paced, creative environment.
  • Based in the New York City area and available for in-person work and shoots.
