Shifts are 12 hours, varying between days and nights, including weekends and holidays. Boone County Hospital is a Level 1 Trauma 25-bed Critical Access Hospital located 40 minutes north of Des Moines, with a 15-minute helicopter transfer. Annual ED volumes are approximately 8,000 visits per year. Our employed family practice medical staff serves as a backup and our dedicated OB physicians are available 24/7 for deliveries.
Candidate must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Practice or Emergency Medicine.
