Fabrication Manager

Overview:
The Fabrication Manager oversees repairs, modifications, and capital projects for marine construction equipment while managing project budgets, materials, and personnel. This hands-on leadership role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality shop operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage budgets, schedules, and resources for fabrication and repair projects.
  • Oversee daily shop operations and contract labor; approve timesheets and invoices.
  • Order and maintain tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Train and test personnel to ensure safe and productive work practices.
  • Review and interpret engineered drawings; ensure fabrication accuracy.
  • Enforce safety and quality standards while improving operational efficiency.
  • Participate in safety and environmental compliance initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of welding, fabrication, and reading engineered drawings.
  • Proven leadership and project management experience.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions and lift up to 60 lbs.
