Are you a dynamic financial professional with a knack for numbers and a passion for manufacturing? If so, we are seeking a Permanent Financial Controller to join our dynamic team. This position is an integral part of our organization, playing a crucial role in the financial management and strategic planning of our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial control, including accounting, regulatory and fiscal reporting, as well as the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.

Responsibilities:

As a Financial Controller, you will be tasked with:

1. Overseeing all company accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax and audit functions.
2. Directing financial strategy, planning and forecasts; conferring with President and CEO, COO and other executive leadership team.
3. Supervising the investment and raising of funds to meet ongoing operational requirements and future growth expectations.
4. Overseeing the timely month-end close process, including reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
5. Managing all aspects of AR/AP and inventory to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
6. Conducting ongoing analysis of key business performance metrics, providing valuable insights to guide decision-making and strategy development.
7. Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes and regulations.
8. Implementing effective internal controls and financial procedures, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess the following:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. CPA designation is highly desirable but not required.
3. Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a financial leadership role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
4. Proficient in all aspects of corporate accounting, including AR/AP, inventory, budgets, and forecasting.
5. Strong knowledge of data analysis, risk management, and forecasting methods.
6. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
7. Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP).
8. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
9. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members.
10. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information and complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
