We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to support commercial clients in central Ohio. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage security and fire alarm systems. The technician will be responsible for ensuring that all systems are functioning correctly and efficiently.

Duties

• Inspect, install and maintain low voltage systems such as fire alarms, and security systems.
• Read and interpret schematics to effectively troubleshoot issues.
• Utilize remote access software to diagnose and resolve system problems.
• Conduct regular inspections and service on existing systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Detect and resolve any malfunctions in low voltage equipment.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance performed.
• Provide technical support as needed for various low voltage applications.

Skills and Experience

• Fire Alarm License
• Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in low voltage systems.
• Familiarity with schematics and the ability to read technical drawings.
• Knowledge of remote access software for system diagnostics.
• Understanding of security system components and functionality.
• Ability to detect issues within fire alarm systems and perform necessary repairs.
• Basic locksmithing skills are a plus for securing installations.
• Strong understanding of computer networking principles is preferred.
• Previous experience as a service technician in a related field is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
