As a Principal System Safety Engineer, your responsibilities will include: • Analysis of engineering hardware and electrical drawings and schematics assessing for fault tolerance, latent hazards, and safety requirements compliance • Working with test and tactical operating and maintenance procedures to assure the proper administrative controls are in place • Working across all integrated product teams and lines to properly eliminate hazards or provide effective controls. • Provide creative solutions to maximize safety functionality without impeding critical performance. • Providing leadership in collaborations with Program Management and government approval authorities from program startup through production to demilitarization and disposal #CJ We value diverse skills and experience, so don't hold back. Responsibilities to Anticipate: • Design of concise, testable safety requirements or providing safety analysis of existing requirements • Performing System Safety Program or Design analyses • Placement in challenging or under-performing programs with the expectation of improvement of the safety program • Managing multiple-large system safety programs or a safety product line • Collaborating with other disciplines during program technical execution, • Interfacing with key stakeholders (e.g. customers, program offices, subcontractors, vendors) • Mentoring Multiple Jr. Engineers • Preparing Safety Assessment Reports and Safety Program Briefs for Customer Approval • Streamlining processes and reports across a product line for improved efficiency • Briefing safety of the program at technical reviews and as part of the safety approval process • Interpreting system requirements, customer specifications and military • standards • Preparing internal and customer reports describing various analyses relevant to the System Safety program • Collaborating across multiple disciplines to gain a full understanding of product architecture and design
