The role will provide exposure to prestigious clients and provides a varied and interesting challenge for someone who enjoys being busy and putting their own ideas forward. Brand implementation and corporate identity roll out is a complicated job - we work with businesses to ensure their brand is delivered consistently by expertly providing consultancy, audit and project management, fit-out, signs and wayfinding, graphics, interiors, financing and regular maintenance.

Job Description

The IT Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological vision and strategy of our company. This position requires an innovative and dynamic individual who can drive IT solutions that align with business objectives and ensure seamless execution across multiple groups within the organization. The IT Manager will be responsible for IT systems, hardware and help desk in the United States and work closely with the Head of IT in the UK on initiatives that foster business growth, operational efficiency, and data security.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

 

  • Strategic IT Leadership: Support the Global IT strategic goals. Provide visionary leadership to ensure IT systems are future-proof and scalable.
  • Infrastructure Management: Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software and hardware.
  • Cybersecurity: Maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect company data and systems from threats and breaches. Ensure compliance with global data protection regulations.
  • Technology Innovation: Introduce cutting-edge technologies to enhance resource efficiency, improve workflows, and support digital transformation initiatives.
  • Advanced understanding of Active Directory and other core Microsoft technologies. Able to create and maintain user and computer accounts and modify file permissions and security access lists. Advanced understanding of group policy design and creation. Able to design hierarchical OU structure to meet business needs.
  • Budget Oversight: Manage IT budgets effectively, ensuring cost-efficient solutions while maintaining high-quality service standards.
  • Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and service providers to secure best-in-class solutions and services.
  • Ensures system issues are resolved on time and efficiently to meet business deadlines and support the 24x7 system business functions.
  • Project Management: Oversee IT projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budgets, and alignment with business needs. 
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including senior management and department heads, to understand business needs and deliver tailored IT solutions.
  • Help Desk ticket management and support, including set up of company hardware (e.g. thin clients, laptops, printers etc).
  • Local network, Wi-Fi set up and maintenance.
  • Asset inventory management and tracking.

 

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A master’s degree or advanced certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or CISSP are highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 - 7 years of progressive IT experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role within a global or multinational company.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, networking, and software solutions. Familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, and cloud computing.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead diverse teams and drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to overcoming challenges.
  • Global Insight: Understanding of the complexities of operating in a global market, including cultural sensitivity and knowledge of international IT regulations.
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Previous IT and systems management experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external personnel throughout projects.
  • Experience in telephone support and remote access.
  • Experience in laptop setups and printer installations.
  • Understanding of VOIP phone systems,
  • MDM (Mobile Device Management) experience would be advantageous.
  • MAC and Apple devices experience desirable.
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance desirable
  • Microsoft 365 experience essential
  • Able to work on own initiative and maintain solid performance under pressure; able to work with limited supervision.
  • Excellent organisational skills focused and the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in an ever changing, fast paced environment.
  • Must be a proactive thinker with the ability to identify recommendations and develop ideas to deliver improvements.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure with challenging timelines.
