As our organization expands, we are looking for a dedicated Lab Assistant to support our operations while playing a critical role in the overall success of our team.

Position Overview

We are seeking a strong, hands-on Lab Assistant to provide support to the laboratory by preparing, processing, and organizing specimens, maintaining lab equipment, and assisting licensed laboratory personnel with day-to-day operations. This role plays a vital part in ensuring timely and accurate laboratory services while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Shift

12:00PM -8:30PM, off days are flexible based on candidate availability

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, label, and prepare specimens for analysis in accordance with CLIA and company protocol.

• Assist Clinical Laboratory Scientists and laboratory staff in specimen handling and routine support tasks.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and proper inventory of supplies.
• Prepare, calibrate, and set up lab equipment under supervision.
• Accurately enter data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and ensure proper documentation for compliance purposes.
• Adhere strictly to CLIA, OSHA, and company safety standards, including proper handling and disposal of biohazardous materials.
• Support quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure reliable and compliant results.
• Participate in ongoing compliance training and contribute to maintaining audit readiness.
• Perform clerical and administrative support to ensure smooth lab operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelors degree or coursework in biology, chemistry, or related science preferred.
• Previous laboratory experience or familiarity with specimen handling strongly preferred, but not required (training will be provided).
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with computers and data entry.
• Willingness to follow strict safety and compliance protocols.
