Location: Big Bear, CA

Employment: Full-time (0.8 FTE, W2)

Salary: $140,000 – $170,000 0.8FTE (depending on experience) + signing bonus & relocation reimbursement

Lactation Consultants of America (LCA) is a national leader in lactation and maternal health, with over 150 providers delivering high-quality, family-centered care across the country. We’re expanding to meet critical needs in underserved areas — starting with Big Bear, CA, where there are currently no women’s health or birthing providers.

We’re hiring a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to lead women’s health and maternity services in this mountain community. This is a rare opportunity to build a program from the ground up, backed by an experienced, mission-driven organization.

Ideal Candidate:

• Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) with training in full-spectrum women’s health (adolescents through menopause)
• Comfortable providing contraception and LARC (long-acting reversible contraception)
• Experience monitoring both low- and high-risk pregnancies
• Ability to collaborate with an OB and Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) physician for high-risk pregnancy care, while independently managing low-risk prenatal, birth, and postpartum care
• Willingness to perform deliveries in either the home or hospital setting depending on CNM’s comfort and clinical judgment
• Passionate about rural, community-based care
• Proficiency in Spanish (preferred)
