Job Description

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Provide primary and preventative care for patients and ensure Standard of Care for the patient
• Conduct well-woman exams, including Pap smears and other screenings
• Provide care for common gynecological conditions and sexually transmitted diseases
• Offer family planning services and preconception/prenatal care
• Perform office-based procedures
• Prescribe medications and therapies
• Counsel and educate patients
• Analyze and interpret data, formulate diagnosis and problem lists, and establish plans to manage common and complex gynecological conditions and health problems
• Treat problems within their scope of competence and exercise judgment on problems requiring consultation, referral, or evaluation
• Contribute to quality performance measures, regulatory compliance, training programs, and research initiatives. Precept and collaborate with other staff members/disciplines to improve the patient experience
• Participate in team meetings and activities of PCMH (Primary Care Medical Home) directly or indirectly
• Enter into Joint Collaboration Agreements with one or more NHCAC Advance Practice Nurses.

Qualifications/Skills Required:

• Active Medical License in the State of New Jersey
• Board Certification in OB/GYN Medicine
• Current BCLS, Current DEA Certificate
