Salary: $40 / Hour Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) - School-Based Opportunity Location: Palm Springs, CA Facility: Local School District Schedule: Monday - Friday Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Start Date: ASAP Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join a supportive school district team in Palm Springs, CA. This role involves working closely with students, educators, and occupational therapists to support the development of essential life and academic skills in a school-based setting. Compensation: + Local Pay: $40-$45 per hour + Travel Pay Package: $2,045 weekly gross Key Responsibilities: + Assist in the implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with occupational therapy needs. + Provide direct therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. + Support students in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care abilities. + Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to promote student success. + Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and legal standards. + Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress monitoring. + Adapt therapy activities to meet the diverse needs of students across various grade levels.
