Responsibilities
- The Patient Transporter is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting patients within the healthcare facility.
- This includes moving patients to and from various departments such as radiology, surgery, and patient rooms while ensuring their comfort and safety.
- The transporter also assists with equipment transport and maintains communication with nursing staff to facilitate seamless patient care.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent if 18 or older.
- Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift and move patients safely, often requiring physical exertion.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting.
