We are hiring a Chemistry Lab Technician / QC Scientist in the Pharmaceutical industry here in the Columbus, Ohio area. This is a long-term career opportunity for someone looking to grow in the sciences. This role will primarily be performing quality control laboratory testing on generic pharmaceutical products. An ideal candidate for this role will have a Bachelors Degree in a scientific field - with a strong preference for Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Pharmaceutical Science degrees.

Job Description

This role will primarily be performing quality control laboratory testing on generic pharmaceutical products. Testing will primarily be chemistry focused and job duties will include:

• You will be performing sample preparation, wet chemistry, standard weighing, dilutions, and High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Gas Chromatography (GC).
• Testing will be on a variety of generic pharmaceutical products including Oral Dose Solids and Nasals.
• Will perform a variety of highly regulated documentation activities.
• Will perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a science field

Work Environment

This role operates in a fast-paced environment, with time split between the quality group and occasionally the manufacturing area. The position requires working the 2nd shift, Monday to Friday, from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with some flexibility for a potential 4-day, 10-hour schedule after training.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
