Senior Bioinformatics Scientist Location: Cambridge, MA 02141 Duration: 23 months Qualifications Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in Computational Biology or a related field. Over 5 years of experience in multi-omics analysis. Strong understanding of statistical methods and multi-omics data analysis and integration (e.g., RNA-Seq, single-cell RNA-Seq, genotype, spatial transcriptomics, OLINK). Proficiency in R, Python, and Bash, with a focus on reproducible data analyses. Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) systems and AWS Cloud Computing (e.g., IAM, S3). Collaborative, self-motivated, with excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple objectives in a dynamic environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with processing and analyzing real-world data. Familiarity with spatial transcriptomics analysis. Knowledge of statistical and population genetics principles. Responsibilities Department: Data and Genome Sciences, Group: Precision Genetics The Precision Genetics group is seeking a skilled Contractor for our Computational Precision Immunology team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in multi-modal and multi-scale data analyses to contribute to our research efforts. Key Responsibilities: Data Ingestion: Query external databases (e.g., PubMed, GEO, ArrayExpress, gnomAD, GTEx, Ensembl) for multi-omics datasets. RNA-seq Analysis: Perform QC and analysis of bulk and single-cell RNA-seq data using tools like FastQC, STAR, Limma, DESeq2, Seurat, scanpy, LeafCutter. Multi-Omics Analysis: Analyze diverse data types including spatial transcriptomics (e.g., Slide-seq, MERFISH, Squidpy) and proteomics (e.g., OLINK, mass spectrometry). Data Integration: Combine multi-omics datasets, including gene/protein expression, splicing, spatial transcriptomics, and genotypes.
