We are seeking a highly motivated senior bioinformatics scientist with extensive experience in developing cutting-edge assays and algorithms in liquid biopsy, including molecular residual disease testing, therapeutic response monitoring, therapy selection, genomic profiling, and diagnostics. Responsibilities Develop novel assays, algorithms, machine learning, and statistical models to detect oncology-related biomarkers from cell-free NGS data. Design and conduct analyses applying genomic and epigenomic knowledge to derive insights from large datasets. Design and execute experiments to characterize performance and support regulatory submissions. Produce detailed documentation for all projects. Communicate results with scientific teams, product, and bioinformatics leadership. Lead, mentor, and train other scientists and engineers. Qualifications Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Cancer Biology, Genetics, Immunology, Molecular Biology, or Computer Science. 5-10 years of industry or academic experience. Proficiency in Python and/or R. Proven scientific reputation through publications or product contributions. Experience developing NGS pipelines using contemporary tools in high-performance environments. In-depth knowledge of statistical models and predictive algorithms. Effective communication and presentation skills. Self-driven with ability to work in interdisciplinary teams. Additional Details Salary ranges vary by location, e.g., CHI: $100,000-$160,000 ; NYC/SF: $115,000-$175,000 . Benefits may include incentive compensation, stock, medical, and more. Remote roles in Los Angeles may involve considerations related to legal standards regarding criminal history.
