JOB DESCRIPTION

An employer in Thornton, CO is looking for a Senior Budget and Bond Analyst to join their team. This will be a full time, hybrid role (2 days onsite and 3 days remote with Wednesday being a hard in office requirement) in Thornton paying 82,000 with negotiable rates pending experience and qualifications. This person will perform in-depth financial analysis and reconciliations and identify discrepancies and trends. This role will include monitoring the school district's annual budget with an emphasis in managing the districts 830-million-dollar bond. This role will also involve cash flow forecasting for the bond, collaborating with the construction team on capital forecasting, capital planning and building improvements. A strong emphasis will be placed on CIP (capital improvement planning) so experience here is a must. The analyst will be responsible for initiating and developing financial models in Excel. Familiarity with Oracle Cloud is important as the implementation begins this summer from Peoplesoft.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience working with a multi-million-dollar bond, managing funds
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in accounting, budgeting, or financial analysis.
  • General GAAP knowledge
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud or something similar platform
  • Proficient in Excel
  • CIP knowledge

Benefits and Compensation

$80,000 to $85,000

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
