HKS is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Social Media Manager to lead the development and execution of a forward-thinking, metrics-driven social media strategy. This role is responsible for building HKS’s global brand presence, amplifying the work of our practice areas and geographies and driving engagement that delivers measurable business outcomes. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, insights-driven leader with a deep understanding of social media trends, content strategy, audience engagement and analytics. Responsibilities include leading the creation and execution of a proactive, cross-platform social media strategy aligned with HKS’s brand and business priorities; collaborating closely with writers, designers and producers to create compelling, multi-format content; owning and managing the content planning process and editorial calendar for all social media channels; continuously assessing new channels, tools and approaches to strengthen digital footprint; ensuring brand consistency and quality across all social media platforms; staying at the forefront of social media trends, tools and emerging technologies; proactively surfacing new opportunities to elevate the brand and build community; monitoring competitor activity and best practices; building and maintaining vibrant communities across all social platforms; leading social listening efforts; developing toolkits, training, and educational resources; defining and tracking success through KPIs; regularly reporting results and adjusting strategies; aligning social media analytics with broader digital and business development metrics; working cross-functionally with Marketing, Communications, PR, Business Development, and regional offices; ensuring integration between social media and other digital channels. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, 8+ years of professional experience in social media, digital marketing, or communications, deep expertise across major social media platforms and tools, strong writing and editing skills, experience developing content that drives brand awareness and business engagement, proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office, video production or editing experience a plus, experience in the AEC industry or with a professional services brand highly preferred, demonstrated ability to lead through influence, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, strong collaboration, communication, and presentation skills, championing HKS’s values of design excellence, diversity, and sustainability, acting with a service mindset, inspiring a learning culture, and supporting firmwide initiatives including J.E.D.I. and ESG goals.
