At BrightWay ( we’re living our mission to improve the financial well-being of hard-working Americans. Our goal is to transform the way our customers think about and use credit cards, rewarding good behavior in ways that truly add value, while providing experiences that empower and engage, even if that means challenging industry norms.
Operating as a startup and owned by OneMain Financial, one of the largest and most successful personal finance companies in the industry, we launched our digital-first suite of credit cards in 2021 and have been on a high growth, fast-track ride of fostering innovative thinking to engaging and empower our customers ever since.
Key Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our Servicing team, building best in class experiences and driving outcomes within the BrightWay mobile app and digital properties.
We continually challenge what a digital finance product can be - employing a customer-first approach in developing all of our products, features, or experiences. We’re not afraid to look to outside influences and create new frameworks.
The Senior Product Designer is responsible for bringing our larger strategic vision to life, alongside cross functional team members across product, engineering, operations, and analytics. You are expected design solutions to customer problems on a feature level and oversee implementation, while maintaining the quality of our product and design systems.
On any given day, you’ll be analyzing data with your product manager, then brainstorming solutions that add iterative value with your design team. The next day you may be reviewing sprint output with your engineering team members and testing the latest mobile app release. Another day, you may be prototyping and test potential solutions with users. And because you have a strong bias for action, you’ll do whatever it takes to get the job done.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years experience in either agency, startup, or early-stage product environments designing consumer facing digital experiences, preferably with new to market products.
Experience collaborating and working in cross-functional teams, strategically partnering with product managers and engineers.
Ability to turn research insights and data into design decisions that influence our product.
Experience building within successful and engaging experiences across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Mobile web)
Strong UX, information hierarchy and customer journey mapping capabilities.
Strong visual design competency and attention to detail.
Experience utilizing a design system.
Ability to rapidly iterate and produce multiple concepts and solutions.
Ability to prototype and communicate design intent.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with an understanding of when to both define and defend the rationale behind decisions.
Proficiency with Figma, Zeplin, and Jira
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
