Leader Automotive Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of AutoCanada, a publicly traded company. Leader Automotive is AutoCanada’s first footprint into the U.S. market and we currently have 6 dealerships consisting of 15 different franchises and approximately 300 employees. We have a strong presence in the Chicagoland area with 4 dealerships and 2 more located in central Illinois. We are searching for talented individuals as we begin a new and exciting legacy into the U.S. market. Currently, we are searching for an experienced Journeyman Technician to join our team at Toyota of Lincolnwood. We have an extremely high volume dealership surpassing 100+ repair orders per day. Benefits * Health, Dental & Vision Insurance * BCBS Health & Wellness Discounts/Programs * Life Insurance * 401(k) * Paid time off / Vacation * Growth / Advancement Opportunities * Employee Vehicle Purchase Policy * Above Average Industry Pay * Publicly traded organization / stability * Employee referral bonuses Technician Benefits * Shop equipped with the newest technology and equipment * Highly productive shop with high volume * Work alongside seasoned technicians & parts associates * Uniforms provided * Report to experienced service & parts managers * Career advancement opportunities, promote from within * ASE certification reimbursement and all training expenses paid to further your career * Paid continued education for manufacturer required certifications and web based training * Clean and professional work environment * Apprenticeship program * Discounts on tools needed * Competitive wages Responsibilities * Receive repair orders from dispatcher/Advisor and take to stall area. * Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards. * Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repairs. * Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts. * Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer. * Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required. * Notify service advisor immediately if additional work outlined is not needed or required. * Notify service advisor immediately if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised. * Document work performed. * Road-test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician, keeping in mind that the customer vehicle should not be used for personal errands. * Supervise work of any apprentice technicians as assigned. * Attend factory-sponsored training classes. * Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins. * Ensure that customers’ cars are kept clean. * Keep shop area neat, clean, and be able to account for all dealership-owned tools at all times. * Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes. * Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor. Qualifications * High CSI is a must. * ASE certifications or Toyota Experience preferred. * High school diploma or the equivalent. * Valid driver’s license and a good driving record. * Manual dexterity. * Good Judgment. * All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA. * All applicants must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner. * All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include criminal background checks, MVR, and drug screen.
