Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
\n• Day shift schedule with regular weekday hours
\n• Plan radiation treatment techniques using computer and manual computations to deliver prescribed doses
\n• Coordinate treatment simulations and tumor localization including CT and MRI for treatment planning
\n• Prepare and assist with fabrication of compensating filters, custom shields, wedges and beam modifying devices
\n• Perform dosage calculations in patient therapy charts and verify mathematical accuracy weekly
\n• Assist in application of specific dosimetry methods for special clinical problems
\n• Supervise technical staff in implementing treatment plans and coordinate immobilization and field arrangements
\n• Plan and calculate HDR/LDR treatments for intracavitary and interstitial sealed source procedures
\n• Must maintain current knowledge of new treatment procedures and techniques
\n• Required certifications: CMD (Certified Medical Dosimetrist) or ARRT-T (ARRT Radiation Therapy)
\n• Minimum 1 year clinical practice of dosimetry experience required
\n• Must have completed MDCB approved program or be registered RTT with on-the-job training and passed Dosimetry Board Exams
\n• Bachelor's degree or certificate required
\n• Required skills: treatment planning, immobilization and shielding procedures, dose calculation
\n• Must demonstrate competence in radiation safety and follow policies for personal dosimetry use
