Requirements of Nurse Practitioner:
●Must have an active NY State License
●Must be Board Certified
●Must have at least 6 months of experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine

Responsibilities of the Nurse Practitioner:
●Develop and implement treatment plans that are appropriate for each patient's condition or illness
●Conduct physical examinations and tests to diagnose conditions, infections, disease processes, etc.
●Provide advice to patients about health maintenance, hygiene practices, diet modification, medication use, etc.
●Perform diagnostic tests, such as wound culture, urinalysis, and blood tests
●Treat minor wounds, cuts, and other injuries using sterile techniques to prevent infection
●Provide educational services to patients regarding their illness or injury
●Order diagnostic tests, such as X-rays or laboratory tests, to help determine the cause of an injury or illness
●Communicate with other healthcare team members to discuss patient care plans
Provide counseling services to patients with behavioral health problems
