Base pay range $70.00/hr - $74.00/hr Direct message the job poster from Modis Akkodis is seeking a (W2) Android Developer for a contract position with a client in Plano, TX , with a hybrid schedule requiring at least 3 days per week. Responsibilities include designing and developing prototype Android applications for phones and tablets for internal and external use. The ideal candidate is a senior Android developer with expertise in native test automation solutions using Kotlin. You will participate in the full app lifecycle: concept, design, build, deploy, test, and release. Collaborate with product teams on new ideas, designs, prototypes, and estimates. Stay updated on current and upcoming features in relevant products and platforms. Drive best practices for continuous improvement of products, processes, and tools. Write and maintain documentation for all features in development. Rate Range $70/hour to $74/hour; negotiable based on experience, education, location, and other factors. Job Responsibilities Bachelor's degree in computer science or master's in software engineering. 5+ years of experience in Android development using Kotlin and/or Java. Experience writing automated tests with frameworks like Appium. Design, build, and maintain next-generation Android applications. Ensure enterprise-grade performance and resolve bottlenecks. Maintain code and application atomization. Implement application updates and fixes before release. Publish applications on the App Store. Proficient with version control tools like Git and Bitbucket. Familiarity with Biometrics, push notifications, Camera APIs, etc. Collaborate with design teams to define features. Desired Skills/Experience Experience with continuous integration and unit testing.
