Description
A major utility company is seeking a highly analytical Data Analyst to support complex data modeling, reporting, and business insights for various operational initiatives. This role is hybrid and requires candidates to be local to the Bay Area , with the ability to attend on-site workshops in San Ramon or other Bay Area offices.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform advanced data analysis using tools such as Excel, Power Query, Python, and complex data models to deliver customized reports and insights.
• Develop new analyses or enhance existing models to forecast business outcomes by incorporating multiple complex variables.
• Build and use metrics to provide recommendations that influence business strategy and operational improvements; present findings to leadership teams.
• Manage small to mid-size projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
• Deliver visual management dashboards and reports through tools such as Power BI or PowerPoint.
  Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Broad understanding of analytical methods, tools, and tactics.
• Strong grasp of fundamental analysis, what-if modeling, and drivers that impact business outcomes.
• Creative problem-solving abilities with strong qualitative and quantitative skills.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills for delivering insights and recommendations to management.
• Effective project management capabilities, with strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to adapt to ambiguity and evolving business conditions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project, Visio, or similar tools.
