The Physical Therapist in Acute Care Rehab is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic treatments for patients independently or with minimal supervision. This role requires graduation from an accredited physical therapy program and appropriate licensure, with a focus on rehabilitation in an acute care hospital setting. Description
The practice of physical therapy shall include assessment, treatment planning and implementation, education, communication and demonstration of therapeutic techniques to address the needs of patients and their families with supervisory guidance as needed. Otherwise, a physical therapist shall work independently without direction supervision.
