Senior Logistics Specialist

Location: Milwaukee, WI

A growing organization is seeking a Senior Logistics Specialist to support high-volume transportation and distribution operations. This role is ideal for a logistics professional who excels in a fast-paced environment, thrives on optimizing processes, and brings strong experience in TMS and WMS platforms . What You’ll Do

• Manage and analyze transportation data within third-party Transportation Management Systems; generate reports and identify trends to improve performance.
• Serve as an escalation point for transportation and freight-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and excellent internal/external service.
• Coordinate with logistics partners to obtain shipping quotes (domestic and international) and support cost-savings initiatives.
• Evaluate carrier and freight-forwarder performance; contribute to process improvement and quarterly business reviews.
• Support freight audit and payment activities with accuracy and urgency.
• Assist with inbound/outbound transportation scheduling and daily operational coordination.
• Maintain and refine carrier claims-related processes and ensure data accuracy.
• Analyze transportation lanes and operational data to recommend continuous improvement opportunities.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience in transportation or logistics operations, ideally within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Hands-on experience with TMS and WMS systems (required).
• Experience supporting import/export logistics (preferred but not required).
• Strong customer service orientation and the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
• High attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and a strong sense of urgency.
• Ability to lead through change, support cross-functional teams, and drive execution with minimal oversight.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Post-secondary education in Supply Chain or a related field is a plus.
