Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Front-End Engineer to join the AWS Amplify Console team. AWS Amplify is a full-stack platform designed to simplify the creation, deployment, and management of modern web and mobile applications. You will have the opportunity to shape the user experience for developers building and deploying cloud-powered apps. Key Job Responsibilities Lead front-end architecture design for large-scale applications, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build intuitive user experiences for developers deploying full-stack web and mobile applications on AWS Amplify. Mentor junior engineers, contribute to code reviews, and help foster a culture of innovation and engineering excellence. Work closely with UX designers to implement and enhance user interfaces that provide a delightful and efficient developer experience. Stay current with industry trends and best practices, continually improving processes and technologies used in front-end development. Participate in the end-to-end deployment lifecycle of features, from ideation to monitoring performance in production environments. A Day in the Life As a Senior Front-End Engineer on this team, you will work closely with product managers, UX designers, and back-end engineers to create seamless, performant, and scalable front-end solutions that empower developers to build better apps faster. You will design and develop user interfaces that integrate with the AWS console and contribute to shaping new features that enhance the overall developer experience. About the Team Utility Computing (UC) AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience Experience programming with at least one software programming language PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Compensation Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
