Vascular Access Nurse Consultant - PICC RN VIC the PICC ("VTP") is a specialized healthcare provider focused on vascular access consulting services to acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and home healthcare. We provide vascular access device insertion services, post‑access support (declotting, line removal, port access) and venous access troubleshooting. VTP also offers continuing education and precepting for clinical team members. VTP provides on‑site and mobile vascular access support services across the Western and Southern United States, delivering innovative, affordable services with high client and patient satisfaction. Job Description As a Vascular Access Nurse Consultant, you will work collaboratively with our patient's clinical team to resolve venous access issues, facilitating the treatment objectives of the treating physician. You may work inside or outside the hospital setting, offering a unique career opportunity to observe different protocols and patient challenges. Key Responsibilities: Place PICCs, midlines and peripheral IVs using ultrasound guidance and ECG confirmation. Assist with management and troubleshooting of PICCs and other vascular access devices. Provide a wide range of vascular access support services, including port access, line removal, and declotting. Educate facility nursing staff on PICCs, midlines and other CVADs. Eligible for a $10,000 sign‑on bonus for full‑time employment, based on prior vascular access experience. Training and Experience Requirements: Experienced in ultrasound‑guided IV (USGIV) placements and vascular access device insertions. Priority to fully trained vascular access nurses; additional training available for strong USGIV skill sets. Nurse Consultant Qualifications: Registered Nurse with a current license. Minimum of 3 years' acute‑care experience (preferred). American Heart BLS certification. Experience placing ultrasound‑guided IVs and other vascular access devices. Experience in VAD management, including care, maintenance and troubleshooting. Ability to work independently. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation; a smartphone is required.
